Get ready for a wild, woolly, and totally awesome time this summer. The Mohave Youth Livestock Expo just kicked off the first of four two-day Golden Valley shows in their “Nothing Going On Summer Series”.
The livestock show is similar to 4-H and features youth handlers 3-20 years of age showing goats, sheep, cows, and pigs, as well as rabbits and poultry for prizes. This experience will help prepare them for the County Fair in the fall.
Admission is free to the public, just bring a lawn chair, and don’t worry about the heat because all shows are held in the morning and evenings at the C Spear Arena, 3372 N. Bacobi Rd.
The non-profit organization is also trying to raise about $20k to build a covered arena on the 20 acre show site, and donations are greatly appreciated.
Mark your calendars for the three remaining 2025 summer show dates:
- June 27 and 28
- July 18 and 19
- August 8 and 9
