For the Luv of Paws II, Inc is a rescue organization, located in Golden Valley at: 8115 W Oatman Hwy, just past Mile Marker 33.
They operate as a no-kill sanctuary. This commitment helps provide a safe haven for neglected, abused, and abandoned dogs and cats.
For the Luv of Paws facilitates adoptions through a screening process to ensure animals go to good homes. They have a permanent feline habitat at the Petco in Kingman, where they also hold adoption events. Adoption fees do apply and include appropriate immunizations and spay/neuter of the animal. Fees are dependent on breed, size, age and any special needs of animal.
They have a thrift shop downtown, Pawsitively Charming, where all proceeds support the sanctuary. Located at 204 N 4th Street, they are open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 AM - 5:00 PM. Call (928) 897-7304 to find out what type of donations are needed. Credit/debit cards are accepted with a Minimum $10 purchase. The majority of the inventory is gently used, in excellent condition, with many other items that are new and/or hand made just for them, including all kinds of goodies for pets, including fish and birds.
Volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining and advancing the mission of For the Luv of Paws. Opportunities range from working at their thrift shop, to direct animal care like feeding and enclosure maintenance. This community involvement helps sustain operations. Reliable volunteers are currently needed to help maintain the cats at Petco, as well as the animals who live at the sanctuary. The dogs and cats will love you for it and you will be doing something for the animals and your community.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, your donations are tax deductible. You may donate financially, items for the thrift shop, or specific items listed on their 'Wish List' page.They are always in need of dog treats. There are over 60 dogs at the shelter waiting for their 'forever' homes, and they try to give them a treat twice a day. You can purchase treats anywhere and drop them off at the thrift shop, the rescue/sanctuary or you can order online and have them sent directly to For the Luv of Paws.
Rescue/sanctuary hours:
- Sunday - Open to the public from 1 pm to 4 pm without appointment
- Tues through Sat - by appointment only, made at least 24 hours in advance. Appointment times are between 9am to 11 am, and 1 pm to 3 pm. Call (928) 897-7304
