Saddle up for a hilarious journey through the untamed frontier with Wild West Women, a lively, play that celebrates the diverse contributions of women in shaping the American West.
Follow the adventures of a mysterious woman who rides into a dusty town and turns everything upside down, challenging tradition, stirring up secrets, and proving that the wildest thing in the West might just be a woman on a mission.
The play highlights iconic figures like Calamity Jane, a notorious frontierswoman and skilled markswoman; Belle Starr, a horse thief and outlaw; and Cattle Kate, the only woman known to be hanged for cattle rustling. It also showcases women in more conventional roles, such as Bethania Owens-Adair, a pioneering doctor; Mary Lease, a lawyer and advocate; and Loretta Janeta Velasquez, who fought in the Civil War disguised as a man.
Accompanied by traditional Wild West-era songs, the play blends historical authenticity with theatrical flair, offering a vibrant portrayal of women who defied societal norms.
Tickets on sale now at the box office during business hours at 302 E Beale St., downtown Kingman. Tickets can also be purchased online at:

Then, mark your calendar, because Beale Street Theater will present a Student Playwright Showcase in September, on the 19th at 7:00pm, and the 20th at 1:00pm and 7:00pm.
The Showcase features five short productions written by student playwrights, and also performed at the newly renovated Beale Street Theater:
Adalyn Scroggins “A Dreamer’s Mirage” - Four siblings find themselves in a land of sweet dreams, but it’s not all it appears to be. Can Sagesse, a wise guardian of dreams, help them stop the devious Fraudrin, or will darkness rule the land?
James and Colin Boudreaux “Fairytale Gone Wrong" - A classic tale of…wait a minute, it’s not classic at all! This flip-flopped fairy tale includes some hysterical pirates, a kidnapped princess, a crazy prince, and loads of laughter!
Damien Valdez “The New Guy” - Everyone knows him, but not everyone loves him, The New Guy follows Larry as chaos follows him in his new job.
Maci Steffen “Maybe: The Tragedy of a Homeschooled Dreamer” - Viola meets Leo, and after the death of her father and a life of being stuck, he’s just what she needs to learn how to wander. Maybe: The Tragedy of a Homeschooled Dreamer is a reminder to keep dreaming even when tragedy strikes.
Adam Michelson “George’s Grand Failure” - George, along with the help of restaurant staff, attempts to propose to his girlfriend. Will it go well, will she even say yes, or will it end up as George’s grand failure?
